Hip hop heART

Hip hop heART is the dance event representing the art of movement in hip hop. Local performers demonstrate their skills and prove that the hip hop community is alive in Luton. The dances, performed by the University of Bedfordshire students, Dance Nation and other skilled hip hop dance lovers, will display the variety of street dance culture and present the spectators with the styles such as locking, popping, king-tut and nu wave hip hop. Hip Hop Taster Class

A chance for everyone who enjoys dance to discover themselves in hip hop. Students will learn some of the hip hop moves and aim to complete a routine demonstrated by the dance teacher. The routine is for beginners, but involves different energetic movements. Wear sports trainers and loose trousers, and don’t forget to grab a bottle of water!

The Fifth Wall

“The Fifth Wall”, a new play by new playwright Scott Curtis, tells the story of the biggest “Novelty Folk Rock Duo” ever to have come out of Wiltshire. It charts the tale of their rise to fame in the 1970’s to their decline into Punk Rock and Work-out videos and their ultimate reunion.

Arts Show for Performance

The Media Performance Students present their explorations of imprisonment, gangs, fairy tales, friendships and rites of passage. The performances are written and performed by Third Year Students as part of their final year's special project.

Choral Spectacular featuring Luton Gospel Community Choir

Stars of ITV’s Million Pound Giveaway, the Luton Gospel Community Choir headlines this evening of choral performances in the atmospheric seating of St Mary’s Church.  The program includes a diverse range of music sung by local Luton choirs.

Mall Music

An acoustic jamming set featuring a mixture of old and new music.  Original tracks will be interspersed with classics ranging from Bob Marley to Ray Lamontagne to Green Day and Tracey Chapman.
